It is always so neat when you get to take someone's pictures more than once. This time, it happened a little differently than normal. The last time I took pictures of these guys was at Amber and Jesse's wedding, and I was an assistant for Flint in Arizona. They're the ones with the cute little blonde girl. Now they're living in Utah, and somehow they found me! So I guess that was a while ago, but I was excited to see them again.

I can hardly believe it...I'm booked for the rest of the year! I guess it's just the busy season...thanks everyone who has contacted me. I'll start opening up again for 2010 once the Army tells us where we're going and when we'll be heading there. Who knows, maybe we'll still be in Utah for a while...

It seems like just yesterday that I took this little cutie's pictures when he was a couple months old...but I guess it sure wasn't just yesterday! This was such a beautiful spot that his parents found, and Tyson you are a handsome handsome boy. It was such a pleasure to take pictures of you and your beautiful mommy.

Changes to Pricing

Here's a quick notice that I've made some changes to my pricing and packages. To see everything in detail, please click the "prices" link on the right hand side under the heading "What Are You Looking For?"

Just so my faithful clients don't start to worry too much...all these changes mean a better quality picture for you in the end. I have grown so much as a photographer over the last two years, and even more so in the last few months. It was time to make my prices reflect that growth. If you have already booked with me, then you don't need to worry about the price change. My previous quoted price will still stand. However, there is other important information that applies to everyone (past, present, and future) about policies and other little tidbits, so please take a look at the "prices" link and make sure you are up to date. The "important information" is all the way down at the bottom. Thank you so much for understanding and for keeping me busy!

I have loved meeting so many people and working with you all! Thanks for all the referrals and kind words. They mean more than you know.

Sadie wanted nothing to do with getting her picture taken and everything to do with exploring her surroundings. I can't blame her. It's a cool place. I love this little girl...but then again she is my own.

Crazy story. Paula and Brad's photographer got summoned for jury duty, and I received an unexpected email asking if I could fill in. I am so happy I was free that day! It was pretty last minute, during a really busy time of year, so it really was a blessing to be available. I had a great time. I think I was the only one besides the groom's mom who couldn't speak Portuguese, but it all added to the fun!

This was a fairly last minute shoot, but I was so excited that they found me. I had fun getting to know these guys at this shoot and then again the next day while I took pictures at their friend's wedding. They have a zest for life and a love for pictures...especially Alex! What a great couple...

They are incorporating butterflies into the theme of their wedding, and this was a great idea that Summer had.

How cute are these kids? This girl was such a model in the making...gladly posing when she needed to. The best part was, the poses were pretty much all her idea! I don't really remember having that much personality that young, but she sure was fun. And her brother had me laughing every time he yelled "Thomas!" before I took a picture. He was hoping to see Thomas the Train in my lens like I said he might if he smiled. Fuuunny.

I swear she did this all on her own!

One of their boys picked up a stick and kept tapping me on the rear end...how could you not laugh? All you had to do was say someone was a 'cheeseburger' and they were giving the best smiles. Cute cute kids. Way nice family. A good time all around.

We had a beautiful, cloudy, and windy day with these two, but the rain held off until we were done so everything turned out perfect. This couple was so sweet, and you could tell they are going to have a happy life together. They are crazy about each other, and everyone they knew only had the nicest things to say about them. They treated me so well, and their post wedding dinner had lots of personal touches that made me feel like I had known them for years. It was such a pleasure to work with them. Thanks again guys!

Love this family! They called me up and asked me if I would do pictures of them at a baseball game, which is like their home away from home. Ken LOVES the ball park, and it was their son's first experience there. I was thrilled. What a fun idea. They got us the best seats in the house, there was food, free t-shirts, mascots, cheering, and lots of laughing. What a treat this family was! They were up from Arizona and asked me if I could take their pictures while they were vacationing. How awesome is that? Their kids are so funny and adorable. They had only been at the shoot for about 8 seconds when one of their sons found a worm in a flower bed. He has amazing bug vision, for sure. I know I was impressed! The worm came with us for the entire shoot. He was a great smiler!

I think I'm secure enough with myself that I can say infants are not my spe-cial-ity. That's okay, right? I mean not everything can be your specialty, or else that would give the word a whole new meaning. I just don't have as much experience with them as with others kinds of shoots. But infants are so wonderful. They bring a whole new essence to their pictures because they are so brand new and perfect, and they don't require a whole lot to make a beautiful picture. Anyway, this little sweetie was just great. He sure loved his binky though!

One word for these guys. STYLE. I was loving it. Super awesome location. They found it and I just showed up. For some people I might be nervous if they picked out a location and I had never seen it before, but not with these guys. I had 100% confidence...and they didn't disappoint! Once again we had a birthday boy at the shoot. I can think of some men who would not be so kind to agree to such torture. After this we met up with the rest of Jessica's family for more stylish fun. What a fun family! I have never seen so many beautiful redheads in one spot in all my life. I felt like I died and went to Ireland. I was loving their blue shirts with the beautiful green scenery. I just couldn't stop taking pictures of them.

It was Dad's birthday...what a great sport for agreeing to take family pictures on his special day.

We had some pretty fun moments while I was getting everyone situated.

This pretty lady was recovering from a big time knee injury. I tried to tell her she didn't have to sit down, but she insisted it was fine! Good sports all over the place in this family.

Oh man, the lighting for this shoot was impeccable. At first I thought we might be starting a wee bit early, but once we walked over to the location things just started to sing. It was great! And this couple is so comfortable together. In fact, we joked that it was a little bit like engagement pictures...which I did for these guys over two years ago! Now they've added an adorable little boy to the mix, and he did great for us. So cute.

Jessica and Cory were so much fun! I got to know them when I did their "engagement" pictures back before they were officially engaged, and was so excited when they asked me to do their wedding. We did the wedding ceremony and reception first, and their bride and groom pictures after they got back from their honeymoon. They were so easy going and willing to do whatever I asked. {Facts and Important Information for Everyone}:

-Payment for all sessions (except weddings-see below) is due on/by the day of your
session. Please pay with cash or a check made out to me.
-Photo disks will be ready in approximately two weeks from the date of family and
portrait sessions and approximately three weeks from the date of your wedding.
-A shipping fee of $5 will be added if I need to mail your disk to you.
-Additional edits to your pictures after you receive your disk are $5 per photo.
-Please make copies of your disk as I only guarantee to have your files for three months
after your session. Additional disks are available from me for $10 each.
-Prices are subject to change without notice.

**For weddings only:
-A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to book your wedding day.
-Full payment of wedding package is due 2 weeks before the scheduled wedding date.
